By the time Fayose would write his memoir, he would give further clarifications to the peculiar background that inspired this concept which is now receiving wide acclaim nationwide. But, before then, one point must be noted: that the victory of Fayose over the incumbent Governor Kayode Fayemi in the June 21 election was driven under the plank and framework of Stomach Infrastructure. What then is stomach infrastructure as against material infrastructure? The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria on Tuesday announced that the runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport will be closed again for another 30 hours in order to rehabilitate its remaining section. This is coming as the authority also announced the re-opening of the runway which was closed for 30 hours between last Saturday night and Monday morning. The Coordinating General Manager, Aviation Parastatals, Mr. Yakubu Dati, said the second rehabilitation exercise would commence on Saturday, July 12 to Monday, July 14. Dati, in a statement said, “The runway of the NAIA which was closed for 30 hours for rehabilitation on July 5, 2014 has been re-opened for flight operations. Dr. Danagogo The failure of the Super Eagles to go beyond the round of 16 at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Brazil following their 0-2 loss to France has elicited a lot of reactions from Nigerians. Though some of have been complimentary, a lot more have been caustic as they condemned the players and Head Coach, Stephen Kashi whom they want removed by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF. However, Sports Minister and Chairman, National Sports Commission (NSC) Dr. Tammy Danagogo has called on Nigerians not to be too harsh on the team and coaches for the disappointment. Hurricane Arthur Hurricane Arthur, packing winds of 100mph, has made landfall in the US state of North Carolina, as thousands abandon their July 4 holiday plans. The first hurricane of the season, now a Category two storm, reached land between Cape Lookout and Beaufort at 23:15 local time (03:15 Friday GMT), the US National Hurricane Center said. Thousands left the area, made up of barrier islands known as Outer Banks. Ferries and highways were packed as people left. Towns all along the state’s coast have rescheduled Independence Day events and fireworks. A mandatory evacuation of Hatteras Island, the easternmost strip of land in the Outer Banks, began early on Thursday, when Tropical Storm Arthur was upgraded to hurricane status. Southern Kaduna youths on Thursday protested against the killings by yet-to-be identified gunmen in parts of the area. The protest, which started about 10am in Manchok in Kaura Local Government Area of the state, terminated at the Chief Kagoro palace. The Chief of Kagoro and Leader of Southern Kaduna  Traditional  Rulers,Chief Ufuwai Bonet, however, shunned the youths, who stormed his palace to submit their letter over massive killings  in the zone. The youth and organisers of the protest, the  Concerned Southern Kaduna Youths,waited in front of the chief’s  Palace for 30 minutes without seeing him to receive the letter on  behalf of  his colleagues.
