Fayose and stomach infrastructure

STOMACH Infrastructure, this is the new maxim, the new political ideology given to us by Ayodele Fayose, the governor elect of Ekiti State. By the time Fayose would write his memoir, he would give further clarifications to the peculiar background that inspired this concept which is now receiving wide acclaim nationwide. But, before then, one point must be noted: that the victory of Fayose over the incumbent Governor Kayode Fayemi in the June 21 election was driven under the plank and framework of Stomach Infrastructure. What then is stomach infrastructure as against material infrastructure? We can only understand stomach infrastructure by making a graphic comparison between the two concepts, because they are all goals of democracy. Jonathan, Obasanjo, Babangida, govs in crucial meeting

President Goodluck Jonathan is currently presiding over a meeting of the Council of State at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. OBJ before the meeting The meeting which started at about 11:40am had in attendance Vice President Namadi Sambo; President of the Senate, David Mark; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal; former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former President Shehu Shagari and former Head of the Interim National Government, Ernest Shonekan. Others are former military Heads of State, Yakubu Gowon; Abdusalam Abubakar and Ibrahim Babangida as well as some former Chief Justices of Nigeria and state governors. FAAN to close Abuja airport runway again

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria on Tuesday announced that the runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport will be closed again for another 30 hours in order to rehabilitate its remaining section. This is coming as the authority also announced the re-opening of the runway which was closed for 30 hours between last Saturday night and Monday morning. The Coordinating General Manager, Aviation Parastatals, Mr. Yakubu Dati, said the second rehabilitation exercise would commence on Saturday, July 12 to Monday, July 14. Dati, in a statement said, “The runway of the NAIA which was closed for 30 hours for rehabilitation on July 5, 2014 has been re-opened for flight operations. Reports from pilots who have used the runway so far indicate that the rehabilitation of a section of the runway was professionally executed and would enhance safety of flight operations on the runway. “The second phase of the rehabilitation of the remaining section of the runway would howeve...
