Bernard MAY be worth £20m+ but Arsenal should not pay it

Posted on July 28, 2013 by funmi Bernard is ours for £22m  by AH Over the last week or so there have been a lot of rumours suggesting that Arsenal were set to complete the signing of their first major player this summer in a move for young Brazilian midfielder Bernard. Bernard who plays for Atletico Mineiro was nothing more than another player with potential talent before the Confederations Cup this summer, but his performances over the course of the tournament claimed him a lot of plaudits and ultimately we now recognise him as one of the world’s upcoming superstars. And although I agree he is a fantastic little player and I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing him at Arsenal, the main two issues I have with the player is his valuation, which I feel is quite high, especially for an inexperienced 20 year old who hasn’t played in Europe, and the second reason is that exactly – inexperience. As you’ll soon see from the quotes, £22 million is obviously a lot of money, especially fo...

Indianapolis police spokesman Michael Hewitt said, in addition to the three dead, two seriously injured were helicoptered from the crash scene, eight others were driven to local hospitals and nine others were treate...

Why one Arsenal player is hoping Bernard transfer rumours are false

With Andrey Arshavin already being released and Gervinho edging closer to a move to AS Roma, the Gunners find themselves a little short of wide options at the moment, especially on the left. But rather than going in for a new winger, the Arsenal boss seems to be leaning towards promoting Ryo to the first team. Speaking to the club’s official website, the Frenchman said, “Ryo has done well, you could see that he is finding his sharpness back. He was better here than in the other game [against Nagoya Grampus] and he is on the way up. He is fighting for his position like many players. I like his game. “I believe he is in a p...
