Jonathan, Governors Meet Today on Obasanjo Report President Goodluck Jonathan: Ahead of today’s meeting to consider the report of the Elders Committee headed by former President Olusegun Obasanjo which met last Friday on the factionalisation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the splinter group led by Alhaji Abubakar Baraje has elected its national officers who will form the nucleus of the New PDP. MICBLOG gathered that despite divisions among members of the Elders Committee on the recommendations of their report, the meeting between President Goodluck Jonathan, the governors of the party, and the six PDP governors, who broke away to form the splinter group, would still go ahead today as planned.
