Ghanaians Commit To Peace After Supreme Court Verdict

The Chairman of the National Peace Council, Most Reverend Professor Emmanuel Asante, has asked Ghanaians to advance the country's democracy by keeping faith in the Constitution and abiding by the decisions of its institutions.  The parties in the Supreme Court petition hearing must therefore accept the outcome either way it goes. David Musila the party chairman for Wiper party said that in selecting, Mutula Junior to vie for the seat, the party wants to ensure it retains the Makueni senate seat. Speaking at the press conference to unveil Mutula Junior at the Serena Hotel, Nairobi, former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka said that despite the attempts to bar Kethi from representing the party, Wiper was “not short of Mutulas.” Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who was also at the briefing said that he was disappointed by the High Court ruling made earlier today, but that Mutula Junior is a capable replacement for Kethi and by extension of the late Mutula Kilonzo.
