The Kebbi State Government on Thursday disbursed seven million naira as compensation to five families whose members were shot by the police two weeks ago. Two persons were shot dead, while three others sustained injuries following a violent clash between youths and the police in Warra village, in the Ngaski Local Government Area of the state. The state governor, Alhaji Saidu Dakingari, announced the compensation in Utono, Ngaski Local Government Area, while inaugurating a road construction project in the community. Dakingari said that two million naira had been released to each of the families of the deceased, while the families of the three injured persons would receive one million naira each. He assured the people that the incident would be investigation, and the culprits prosecuted.
